VOTES are Power! Hear this, Congress 2014
YOU ARE FIRED!

Gabby GiffordAge has its virtues. Before I became elegible for an AARP card, I usually reacted to people, circumstances, and situations indiscriminately - sporadically and sometimes thoughtlessly. I am grateful that I have lived long enough to think before I act. I am glad that I am a shadow of the forty-six United States Senators that voted nay to all procedural votes and or amendments that would have made our country and communities safer from gun violence. The Congressional representatives that voted nay April 17 2013 are thoughtless, gutless, greedy and tone deaf. They are on the wrong side of morality and justice. The elections of 2014 just as 2012 will speak louder then any words I write.

Remember this day, April 19th, 2013. Remember that ninety per cent of Americans across party lines want rational, reasonable gun control legislation. The Amendment called “On the Amendment S. Amendment 715 to S. 649 (Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013) was technically filibustered by ninety percent of Republicans and five Democrats. Remember Senate Vote # 97. The amendment was rejected. REJECTED? Does Congress know who they work for? Have they already forgotten one vote per person put them in office, not special interest groups, lobbyists or millions of dollars from wealthy people and businesses?

Who are the men and women that said NAY/NO to ninety percent of Americans, to the victims and families of Columbine, Arizona, New Town, Colorado, Chicago and the more than 33,000 people that will die by gun violence today and tomorrow? Remember the following names of the Congressional Senators that voted NAY or NO!

Remember the names, call, email, write, stop them on the street, or go to their offices that are paid for by our tax dollars. Call them out! Call them up and tell them clearly either they vote for what the majority of Americans want, or in 2014 (or when they come up for reelection) no lobbyists, special interest group, or any amount of money will save their seat in Congress. Please do it now, post this blog on your facebook page, twitter, linked in, and every social or business site you are affiliated with. We, the people, are the boss, we the people, are Congress employers and we, the people, have the power to fire and hire. Remember the list of names, their state and their vote. If they don’t change their vote on this and the numerous issues that affect 47% plus of most Americans then help sign their pink slip!

For information to contact your senator or representative go to: http://www.govtrack.us/

We have some important choices to make as Americans starting now. Let’s get busy!
